8. Climbing Disclaimer

Climbing and bouldering are inherently dangerous activities that carry a risk of serious injury or death.

  • BoulderBuddy is a social platform for connecting climbers. We are not a climbing instruction service, guide service, or safety authority.
  • We do not verify the climbing ability, experience, or qualifications of any user. Skill levels shown in profiles are self-reported.
  • We do not guarantee the safety, suitability, or compatibility of any climbing partner found through the app.
  • You are solely responsible for your own safety when climbing. Always assess risks, use proper safety equipment, follow gym rules, and climb within your ability level.
  • Meeting climbing partners from the app is at your own risk. Take appropriate safety precautions, such as meeting in public gym environments.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BoulderBuddy and its creators shall not be liable for:

  • Any injuries sustained during climbing activities
  • Actions or behavior of other users
  • Loss of data beyond our control
  • Service interruptions or unavailability
  • Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, without regard to conflict of law principles. For EU consumers, this does not affect your rights under mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence.

Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Germany, unless mandatory consumer protection laws provide otherwise.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by other appropriate means at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of BoulderBuddy after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
